چکیده
A gunshot wound to the mandible frequently creates a comminuted fracture that can be debilitating for patient and challenging surgeon. In some instances, immediate open reduction rigid fixation is not possible, closed with intermaxillary employed. This may lead non-union or mal-union of segments. case report describes management bilateral mandibular angle fractures secondary injury. The were repaired using virtually planned specific reconstruction plates included specially designed crib cage contain bone graft. cellular allograft—Vivigen (DePuy Synthes, Warsaw, IN)—was chosen as grafting material. was followed up 7 months normal functional status mouth opening without pain signs infection. demonstrates plate allograft optimize surgical repair bony healing fractures.

Introduction: In open reduction and internal fixation for the treatment of mandibular fracture, the fixation technique used is very important in reducing post-operative complications and promoting the healing process. This study assessed the results of fixation of the mandible using two mini-plates perpendicular to each other in the lower border of the mandible for fracture treatment. Materi...

Mandibular reconstruction today is still one of the larger challenges in cranio maxillofacial surgery. Quality of life can be extremely reduced by tissue defects in the mandible region, whether caused by trauma or tumour; it is a central concern of all CMF surgeons to improve mandibular reconstruction. Over the last few years rapid progress in CAD/CAM techniques were made. Patient specific reco...
